Risk assessment according to NBR ISO 12100 and 13849-1
The risk assessment in accordance with NR 12 comprises a technical inspection of machinery and equipment, which assesses its compliance with regulatory standards and other technical standards and national and/or international guidelines in force. The objective of this work is to verify and evaluate the dangers and risks existing in the workplace, in addition to defining the safety measures to reduce the risks found.
The result is used to develop the conceptual safety project to reduce risks and to define the safety measures to be implemented.
The NR 12 risk assessment is one of the main stages of the machinery adaptation cycle. It consists of the following steps:
- Verification of applicable rules and guidelines;
- Definition of machine limits;
- Definition of the required risk category according to NBR 14153;
- Definition of the required performance level according to NBR ISO 13849-1;
- Hazards identification;
- Risk estimation and classification;
- Safety recommendations for risk reduction.
OUR COMMITMENT
Prior identification of hazards in machinery and equipment saves time and money with construction and facilitates the implementation of appropriate safety measures.
When machine safety is treated as a priority from the start, the machines service life is extended. With our experience, we can assist you in evaluating and adapting machines to current safety standards.
