NR12 Services

We operate in all stages of the machinery and equipment adequacy cycle to NR 12:

Tela 1
  • STEP 01 - Inventory and classification of risks in machinery and equipment

    Inventory of Machines and Equipment

    The inventory of machines and equipment is the first step towards adapting to the NR 12 standard.

    The information obtained from the inventory will assist in the management and application of NR 12. The inventory consists of the following steps:

    • Preparation of ground plan or schematic representation;
    • Machine classification by type;
    • Machine classification by capacity;
    • Identification of existing safety systems;
    • Machine classification according to the risk level using the HRN methodology.

    The NR 12 machine inventory is carried out by a legally qualified professional. After the end of the services, a Technical Term of Responsibility (ART) is issued.

  • STEP 02 - Risk assessment according to NBR ISO 12100 and 13849-1

    Risk assessment according to NBR ISO 12100 and 13849-1

    The risk assessment in accordance with NR 12 comprises a technical inspection of machinery and equipment, which assesses its compliance with regulatory standards and other technical standards and national and/or international guidelines in force. The objective of this work is to verify and evaluate the dangers and risks existing in the workplace, in addition to defining the safety measures to reduce the risks found.

    The result is used to develop the conceptual safety project to reduce risks and to define the safety measures to be implemented.

    The NR 12 risk assessment is one of the main stages of the machinery adaptation cycle. It consists of the following steps:

    • Verification of applicable rules and guidelines;
    • Definition of machine limits;
    • Definition of the required risk category according to NBR 14153;
    • Definition of the required performance level according to NBR ISO 13849-1;
    • Hazards identification;
    • Risk estimation and classification;
    • Safety recommendations for risk reduction.

    OUR COMMITMENT

    Prior identification of hazards in machinery and equipment saves time and money with construction and facilitates the implementation of appropriate safety measures.

    When machine safety is treated as a priority from the start, the machines service life is extended. With our experience, we can assist you in evaluating and adapting machines to current safety standards.

  • STEP 03 - Conceptual safety design for adjustment

    Conceptual safety design for adjustment

    Based on the results obtained in the risk assessment, we present the technical solutions in a 3D format drawing of the machines. The safety of the installations is guaranteed through the use of mechanical protections and electro-electronic equipment with the most modern technologies, meeting the requirements of NR 12 and other current technical standards.

    Our work is carried out in close cooperation with our customers, optimizing costs in the implementation, allowing the interaction between man and machine, eliminating productivity losses, and reducing maintenance downtime.

    OUR COMMITMENT

    With our practical experience in the management and implementation of safety systems, we guarantee the adequacy of your machine to the current safety standards and we minimize the costs with lost time after the adaptation.

  • STEP 04 - Executive Project to Adapt Machines to NR 12

    Executive Project to Adapt Machines to NR 12

    The safety project aims to reduce or eliminate the risks and danger points identified in the risk assessment stage. This is done based on the detailed elaboration of the necessary control measures.

    This step is important and necessary before the integration of the systems, as it avoids later costs, reduces failures, and reduces the times with the stoppage of the machine for the adaptation.

    The safety project consists of the following phases:

    • Safety requirements specification;
    • Safety requirements classification;
    • Definition of safety integrity levels and performance levels;
    • Specification of the most appropriate safety equipment;
    • Elaboration of detailed mechanical design for protections construction;
    • Preparation of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic installation diagrams.

    OUR COMMITMENT

    We complete your team with our safety experts. Our structured method saves time and money, in addition to ensuring the safety of your machine and bringing it into compliance with current safety standards.

    With our experience, we can assist you in adapting your machines to current safety standards.

  • STEP 05 - Safety systems implementation

    Safety systems implementation

    After the safety project elaboration, it is time to perform the management and implementation of the safety systems to adapt the machines to the NR 12.

    Our services are based on compliance with legislation, as well as goals established by our customers, aiming at meeting the established deadlines and ensuring quality and cost reduction.

    The implementation of safety systems consists of the following steps:

    • Implementation schedule;
    • Purchasing and acquisitions planning;
    • Selection of suppliers;
    • Specification of materials and equipment;
    • Administration and management of contracts;
    • Management and supervision of contracted services.

    OUR COMMITMENT

    With the results obtained from the risk assessment and the preparation of the safety adequacy project, we have a specialized team for the management and implementation of the safety systems on your machines. This ensures cost savings and downtime reduction, in addition to ensuring compliance with the current legislation.

  • STEP 06 - Final inspection. Functional tests and validation of safety systems according to NBR ISO 13849-2

    Validação inspeção e testes funcionais NBR ISO 13849-2

    After the safety systems implementation, you must be sure that the machine complies with NR 12 and other current safety standards.

    With our experience in developing risk assessments and developing safety projects, we have developed a structured approach to inspect your machines critical safety elements. In this way, the adequacy of the implemented safety measures is checked for compliance with all legal requirements. The test applied in the validation covers:

    • Evaluation of selected components;
    • Analysis of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical designs, in relation to the safety requirements;
    • Execution of functional tests of the implemented safety systems and failure simulations;
    • Preparation of test report with detailed data on the results obtained;
    • Preparation of a safety validation report (Report NR 12) ensuring compliance with NR 12;
    • Issue of Technical Term of Responsibility (ART).

    OUR COMMITMENT

    As specialists in preparing risk assessments and adapting machines, we guarantee an objective verification of safety measures.

    Trust our practical experience in evaluating the safety systems implemented on your machines. We guarantee the compliance of the measures, minimizing risks, and ensuring the safety of your employees.
